Language Arts:

  Today students were given a copy of their second class novel. Students will be reading True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle. We also worked on creating note cards while I had book conferences  with the kids for the Twenty Five Book Campaign. The deadline for the first celebration is to have six books read by October 10th. Many of the kids are right on target.

Social Studies:

    Students turned in their Hunting and Gathering/Agriculture organizers today. It will probably take me two weeks to get all of the organizers graded. Then the class read about the physical features of Mesopotamia and completed an assignment. We will grade this on Monday, but I will give students the first ten minutes to complete the assignment.
