Loss on our Team:

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that Mrs. Hodge the other Language Arts teacher on our 6th grade team passed away peacefully early this morning. Her funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 4 at 10:00 AM at Westwood Presbyterian Church, 8007 West Maple. If you would like to take your child to the funeral that is acceptable. We discourage parents taking more than their own child, because all our children express grief differently and should be supported by their own parent.

Language Arts:

Students turned in the first five paragraphs of their research papers. Then, groups prepared a scene from the novel, Charlotte Doyle. We have some future drama actors/actresses in this class.

Social Studies:

Students read about the geography of China. Then answered True/False questions about it. Egypt Build-A-Book is due at the end of class this Friday, November 6th. I also went over community service hours with each student today. I posted the link to United Way on my helpful links today. If your chilod still needs hours, please check there.
