Be sure to mark you calendar – the clean-up will begin at 10 am.

Wichita Athletics Track Club 5th Annual Spring Invitational Track Meet
Saturday, April 25th, 2009

The Sport Tournament and Event Management class at Wichita State University is looking for volunteers to assist in putting on a youth track meet to support the Wichita Athletics Summer track club. Athletes on this team use the money raised at the meet to subsidize transportation to other local and national track meets. The Wichita Athletics Track Club (WATC) is a non-profit organization that relies on fundraisers, sponsors, and participant fees.
Volunteers will assist in a variety of areas:

· Running specific events
· Registration and admissions process for participating teams
· Recording/posting results
· Set-up and break down of the meet itself

-Lunch and drinks will be provided for those volunteers working over the lunch hour
-Dress according to the weather as the event will be held outdoors
(Suggestions: sweat shirt, rain gear, hat, bottled water, sun-screen etc.)

Location: Northwest High School Track

Wichita, KS 67212

Time(s): Track Meet set-up – 7:00 AM
Registration and Admission – 7:30 AM
Field events – 8:30 AM
Track events – 9:30 AM
Break down – Following final event, around 3:00 PM

Reporting: Check in at the Admissions table and identify yourself as a volunteer. Report to the Volunteer table and a coordinator will provide further instructions regarding your assignment(s)/responsibilities.

Training: Instructions will be provided for individual events both on-sight and through email
