Community Service Opportunity

This is from one of our recently retired teachers: I have been volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in Sleepy Hollow. I could use a few students to help make cookies, brownies, clean, straighten cabinets, etc. sometime after school. Maybe their parents could pick them up from there. Anyway, its an idea for some hours.

Language Arts:

Students worked on vocabulary from Charlotte Doyle. Homework is to read to the end of Chapter 5.

Social Studies:

Students watched a video on Mesopotamia. It discussed the civilization arising from a hunting and gathering village to a complex society.
