Language Arts:
Block 1-2: We discussed the book Homeless Bird this morning. I read from Chu Ju, and then students read and wrote a multiple choice question for their novel.
Block 9-10: We corrected yesterday's quiz, and discussed the novel Tangerine so far. Students took a survey about sports, and we discussed this theme of the novel in class today. I read to the students from our William Allen White selection, and then some students worked on their photo story essays while others read form their novel.

Social Studies: Students watched a video about Egypt today and took notes on the film. I also passed out information about our field trip on the 19th. We forgot to write the cost of the field trip on the info sheets. The cost will be $7.00 for the buses- which allows us to keep the buses all day.
