Language Arts:
Monday: Students watched a video about a Death March survivor in class. After a discussion they are writing about what they would take if they were deported from their home on an hour's notice. The students have a twenty pound limit.
Tuesday: Students finished writing and shared some of their essays. Then I read Spit Nolan to the class. This will be our next Shared Inquiry story.

Social Studies:
We finished our Hammurabi plays, and then completed our study of the Baylonians and Assyrians. Today students will write a first person account as if they were Sargon, Hammurabi or an Assyrian warrior.
