Language Arts:
Students finished up the novel Charlotte Doyle. They will have a test over it tomorrow covering the story, personification, similes, metaphors, and the five parts of a story.
We also discussed the History Day theme, and had students do basic research on WEBCAT. I want students to be sure that they pick a topic that has adequate information on it. The theme this year is Triumphs and Tragedies in History.
Social Studies:
The classes are really coming along on their newpapers. Students should have a minimum of three articles to show me tomorrow. The finished product will be turned into me on Tuesday with the blue rubric sheet attached.
DOG: Name the three branches of government.
