Language Arts:

Students finished up their reading people and chose a new book to read. Then we discussed the theme of water in the books we read over the summer. We discussed classroom folders and journal writing spirals.

Social Studies:

Students wrote down what they remembered from their fifth grade about the three branches of government. Then we made a three column chart in the classrooms. Tomorrow we will record this information in a flipbook. The next week and a half we will be reviewing fifth grade curriculum.

4th Hour received their books today. All students have been asked to cover their SS textbooks when they get them. The other classes will get their books tomorrow. Book covers will be sold in the student store located in the school library.
