Language Arts:
Students had a blast today recreating scenes from Charlotte Doyle. What a bunch of actors we have this year. Then we reviewed the parts of a story-the problem, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution. We will apply this review on Monday to other stories the students have read.
Homework: Read to Chapter 16 in Charlotte Doyle page 148.

Social Studies:
Students are starting their work on their Colonial Newspaper by interviewing a colonist. They wrote ten questions in class today to ask their partner and then their partner responded to their questions as if they were living in Colonial America. This is the first article for their newspaper. The newspaper information was sent home yesterday with a grading rubric.
