Language Arts:
Students read a poem they were assigned from children authors during the holocaust. We discussed the hopes and dreams that were shattered while living in the camps. Students will make a butterfly to represent the authors of their poems tomorrow. These will be sent to the Houston Holocaust Museum for an exhibit they have. They are trying to collect 1, 500, 000 butterflies, one for each child lost in the concentrations camps. I have told the students if they bring materials to class tomorrow to make the butterflies they will receive extra credit.
Social Studies:
Students are finishing their notes on Chapter 12, Lesson 1. Open note quiz tomorrow.
